1. Rub by hand:
For thicker and less knotty single necklaces, the easiest and convenient way is to use your hands to rub gently.
Spread a towel or cloth on a flat table and secure it so it doesn’t move. Then lay the necklace flat on it, move the unnotted part of the chain away from the wrong place (that knot), and then gently rub the knotted part to loosen it by friction, and then slowly detach it with your fingers when you see a large gap between the chains.
2. Use sharp tools such as needles or toothpicks:
When there are many necklaces knotted together, or in a necklace of the same part of the continuous knot a lot of knots, simple hand rubbing is very difficult to unravel.
But there’s no need to panic, it can be undone quickly with the help of a few small tools.
Facing the light, lay the necklace on a flat surface and smooth the unknotted part of the chain away from the messy knot. Then take out a sewing needle, pins, tweezers and other sharp tools.

Make gaps between each chain, presenting a flat surface similar to a fishing net, so that you can see the tangled knots more clearly. Then slowly untangle them from the outer edge of the net inwards. When using this method, care needs to be taken to move gently and slowly.
Do not insert the needle into the ring of the necklace (such as a 0-shaped chain) to lend strength and pull hard, to avoid breaking or deforming some thinner chains.
3. Use lubricating products:
If the necklace is tied a lot of knots or is very tight, rubbing it directly with a sharp tool cannot make it loose.
To assist lubrication, you can use detergent, talcum powder, baby oil and other non-irritating daily chemical products.
①Use detergent
To use detergent, choose a container with a large opening and fill it with a small amount of water and detergent. Then dip the knotted part of the chain into it and place it at the bottom. Then gently rub the knotted part with your fingers.
Slowly untangle the messy knot in the water, or use a needle to assist. Once untangled, rinse the chain thoroughly and dry it.
②Use talcum powder
If you find it difficult to maneuver in the water, you can choose to use talcum powder for lubrication.
Place the necklace on a flat surface and sprinkle the talcum powder directly onto the knotted area. Rub it with your fingers to loosen it, and then slowly unravel the messy knot.
If it’s more complicated or multiple necklaces are tangled together, you can double up by using a sharp object such as a needle.
After detangling the tangled necklace, remember to wash down the talcum powder-stained part of the chain with mild detergent and dry it off.
③Use baby oil
For some complicated necklaces, the talcum powder will be stuck in the gap between the rings and clasps, which is difficult to clean. Here, you can choose baby oil or olive oil.
Place the necklace on a flat surface and use a cotton swab or your finger to apply some oil that is not harmful to the metal to the knotted area and gently massage it.
Until the messy knot loosens, find a chain that is the loosest and slowly unwind it.
After the knotted part is completely untied, wash off the oil on the necklace with detergent as soon as possible, then rinse it with water and dry it with a paper towel or soft cloth.
4. Vibration assistance:
